On Lake Seymour Lake Seymour, a glacial lake and the second largest lake in Vermont, is 3 miles long and 2 miles wide. It is shaped like the number 7. Native American Indian tribes named it Namagonic, meaning 'salmon trout spearing place'. ﷯ In the spring, summer and fall enjoy boating on Lake Seymour's pristine waters, along with fishing, biking, hiking and area exploring. Local guides are more than willing to assist you with hunting or fishing trips. Lake Seymour is known for its excellent fishing and is conveniently located on major New England bike touring routes and snowmobile trails. During the warmer months add swimming to your list of things to do as Lake Seymour is believed by many to be the cleanest lake in Vermont﷯ When the winter months bring the coldest temperatures of the year- the lake is frozen and safe for passage residents and visitors alike enjoy the lake for cross country skiing, snow shoeing and ice fishing.

19th Century Farmhouse Accommodations We provide comfortable county lodging in our 19th century farmhouse. With its guest rooms and private guest apartment, lodging is convenient and affordable. Guest accommodations include communal use of our first floor full kitchen, while the guest apartment has a kitchen of its own. ﷯ During the warmer months enjoy the outdoor porch overlooking Lake Seymour and surrounding mountain ranges.
